ROMAN SCULPTURE It was found in Rome mid of XVI century. The quality of the marble of this statue is very poor compared to others, probably because it was supposed to represent a slave. Perhaps coming from the Foro of Traiano. It had been in the Medici villa at Rome until 1584 Placed under the loggia in 1789. |
